Allow us to introduce ourselves.
Welcome to our little corner of the scene.

The Beginning
If you have made it this deep into our website it only feels fair to give you a little back story on how Cannonball came to be - an abridged version, of course.
Back when everything was shut down and weird in 2020, James and I started talking about how much we missed live music. Not really big shows, but the ones where the bands are regular people that love writing and playing and performing music (even if it only makes them dozens of dollars). We missed the places where the floors are a little sticky, the stage barely counts as a stage, and you’ll probably be hearing that ringing in your ears for a few days. (What?)
As we were slowly being crushed by boredom and the need for a creative outlet became unbearable, we decided if we needed a place to yell, laugh and try things that might totally flop, other people probably did too. So we built it.
We didn’t (and still don’t) really know how to write a business plan, calculate financial projections, or any of the stuff that business owners are supposed to know how to do. BUT by some combination of luck, our millennial delusion of being able to do anything we put our minds to, and our relentless need to win at everything, here we are.
Cannonball.
Part ode to our youth, part tax for being there. This is what we have dedicated every second of spare time to for the last 5 years.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do, because although it may not be perfect, it’s everything we’ve got. All of our energy, our sanity, our money. We have officially and proudly stood up an independent venue - no big name ticketing companies, no corporate investors, just a whole lot of elbow grease and a handful of our bootstraps.
